Your Happy Chicks is a small family owned business created in the Spring of 2017. Our business was started after struggling through our first batch of new chicks purchased at the local hardware store. Our kids loved the cute baby chicks, but keeping their feed and water clean was a constant problem. We quickly joined the ranks of many small poultry users who find it nearly impossible to keep the bedding and poop from our chicks out of their waterers and feeders. The waterers, in particular, were always dirty. We tried every solution imaginable from lifting our waterers off the floor of our brooder from blocks of wood, to frisbees to bricks. No matter what we tried, the quickly-growing chicks always found a way to foul or tip over their water and food.
In desperation we consulted our chick-raising friends and our local poultry growers, all who indicated that they were constantly dealing with the same problems in raising their chicks. Over time, we determined that the best way to keep this from happening was to hang their waterer up and off the floor of the brooder/coop. From that time forward, it has become our passion to develop the easiest and most-practical method for keeping these waterers (and feeders) raised above the floor of the coop.
Fast forward to today...Your Happy Chicks is still family owned, with my wife and I and two of our hard-working children performing all of the product development, manufacturing and marketing of our products. Your Happy Chicks currently offers an easy to install, durable and strong harness to keep the most common small mouth quart bottles hanging up and off of the ground. We also offer a two-quart glass bottle option (though these bottles are very hard to come by) and a one gallon option for one of the common Little Giant bottles.
